Hi Pretty Birds,
Have you heard about Junya Watanabe's Fall capsule collection for Loewe? If you are a denim lover like I am, and if you are enjoying all of this season's gorgeous leather, then this paring of expertise between Watanabe who is known for his creative innovation, and Loewe, the oldest Spanish luxury brand, is something you must know about and get into your closet. First revealed at Watanabe's Paris runway show in March and officially presented in Tokyo this past May, the collection is a celebration of four hundred years of cultural exchange between Spain and Japan.
And with this new creative dialogue between Watanabe and Loewe, luxurious spanish leather is mixed with premium Japanese denim to create an offering of style essentials that are sure to accumulate cult status. For the ladies, the range includes a leather denim-style jacket, a leather and denim mini-skirt, and two styles of leather and denim jeans. For the guys, a denim jacket with leather sleeves and leather and denim jeans. Loewe's signature bag, the "Amazona" is also given some Watanabe love and comes in mixed variations of leather and patchwork. In addition to patchwork elements which I'm crazy about right now, the collection also includes touches of polka dots and Tartin. Yes!
If you are in Italy, the collection launched at Loewe's flagship boutique in Rome on September 5th and made its way to posh Corso Como 10 this past weekend. Stop by, have a look and let me know what you think.
